IT support for accounting firms in Richmond Hill and the GTA
Your busiest ten weeks decide the year. We keep the software, the scanners and the email working through them — and spend the quiet months making sure they will.
Tax season without IT surprises
On Complete Support we run a readiness check before January: licences, workstation capacity, backups, scanner and printer paths, and the software versions your filings depend on. The cheapest IT problem is the one you find in December.
Seasonal staff set up and removed fast
New preparers get accounts, MFA, a working machine and the right file access on day one. When the season ends, the accounts are actually disabled — which is where most firms quietly leave the door open.
QuickBooks, Sage, Cantax and other tax software kept running
Access, updates, backups and hosting. We deal with your software vendor directly when something breaks, so you are not relaying technical questions between two parties.
Secure client file exchange and MFA
Clients send you T4s and bank statements. Email attachments are the wrong tool for that and everyone knows it. We set up portals or secure links your clients can actually use, and MFA on every account that touches client data.
AI for client letters and document review, set up safely
Copilot and Gemini can draft client correspondence and summarise documents well. They can also read every file the user can reach, which in most firms is more than anyone remembers. We fix the permissions first.
A website clients can book from
Service pages, team bios, booking, secure upload links, deadline notices, and optional 中文 pages — built and then looked after alongside the rest of your IT.
Stopping fake document-request emails
The scam that costs accounting firms most is not sophisticated: a client gets an email that looks like it came from your firm, asking them to send documents or change payment details somewhere new. It works because most firms' domains do not tell the receiving mail server to reject fakes.
Check yours — it takes about ten seconds and you do not have to give us anything.
Check your firm's domain
We look at SPF, DKIM and DMARC and tell you in plain English whether someone can send email pretending to be you.
What it costs
$1,000 / month
An 8-person firm on Complete Support. With Microsoft 365 Business Premium included for every user, $1,320/month.
Choose an annual term for the best price, or month-to-month for 20% more. Both are billed monthly. Month-to-month plans can be cancelled with 30 days’ notice.
Deadline weeks
Most firms add after-hours support for the stretch around a filing deadline — evenings, weekends and holidays for critical issues, with a 2-hour first response. Every call is triaged by a senior technician, and we agree what counts as critical before the season starts, not during it.
$20/user/month, minimum $150/month.
Common questions
Which accounting and tax software do you support?
QuickBooks, Sage, Cantax and other Canadian tax filing software, plus the scanners, document management and client portals around them. We keep access, updates, backups and hosting working; we are not your software trainer, but we will sit on a call with your vendor so you do not have to.
What if something breaks on April 29?
Critical issues get a 2-business-hour first response during business hours. For deadline weeks, most firms add after-hours support so evenings and the weekend before a deadline are covered too. We also run a tax-season readiness check ahead of January on Complete Support, which is the cheapest way to not need us on April 29.
Can you work with our software vendor?
Yes. Vendor liaison is included on both plans. We deal with your tax software vendor, your ISP and your printer lessor directly so you are not relaying technical questions between two parties.
What about scanners and printers?
Covered. Scan-to-email and scan-to-folder from a multifunction printer breaks often — usually after a firmware update or a mail security change — and it is a normal support ticket, not a project.
Not sure what you need? Start with a call.
Twenty minutes, no obligation. Tell us what is breaking and we will tell you what it would take to fix it — including when the answer is that you do not need us.
